Whether you have a recent, specific issue you want help with or a long term problem such as depression, anxiety, or childhood trauma, a compassionate relationship with a skilled professional can help relieve your pain and restore your hope. In my therapy practice, my goal is to treat each client as an individual, drawing on theories and techniques which suit that person. I combine ideas from Rogerian, existentialist, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, Gestalt and Jungian theories, and have training in various types of trauma work and dream work. For those who want a creative modality, I am trained in the Jungian version of sand play therapy and in somatic based work such as authentic movement, focusing, and sensory-motor trauma work. I also use grounding ,relaxation, and mindfulness techniques and have training in ecotherapy, the practice of reconnecting with nature as part of one's healing. My belief is that all people have inside them the desire to grow and become whole. My goal is to be present and listen carefully and with compassion so that clients may begin to more deeply hear themselves in order to understand both how they were blocked in life and how they might now heal in order to be free to follow their own values and purpose.
