Is pain from the past inhibiting you from living the life you envisioned for yourself? Does it feel like you've been through so much that it's hard to even conceive of such an "envisioning?" Save that stuff for once you're out of survival mode, right? The fact is, trauma alone is not uncommon- it's part of being a human being. But for some of us, these traumas have been so severe that we can struggle to bounce back, feeling adrift and alone. Like journeying across the ocean when a storm cracks your mast, emotional trauma can leave us feeling lost, confused, and even desperate without a sail. How do we get back to dry land? Therapy has come a long way since the days of Freud, and now, more than ever, healing is possible. I practice Brainspotting, a "brain-body" therapy that targets trauma in parts of your brain that are inaccessible with talk-therapy alone. Clients report feeling "lighter" after Brainspotting, as years of unprocessed emotions come to the surface. You may have memories and experiences that have been too dangerous to process alone. I will cue off you! We will take therapy at your own speed, should you decide you'd like to work together. Please call or text to schedule a phone consultation if you think we might be a good fit.
