Therapists » Marriage & Family Therapist
I specialize in working with individuals, couples, & families who are experiencing relationship problems and issues related to anxiety, depression, adjustments, life changes, and grief/loss. I have a particular interest in premarital/couples therapy and have completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (a research based approach to couples therapy). My aim with couples is to address feelings of frustration, resentment, hopelessness, and betrayal while improving communication, enhancing intimacy, and strengthening commitment. I also have training and experience providing Medical Family Therapy and work with individuals and their families who are dealing with acute/chronic illness. I strive to create a therapeutic space where warmth, encouragement, understanding, and laughter promote positive change. Because everyone comes to therapy with unique experiences, I use a combination of methods/techniques to best suit the needs of each person that I work with to help maximize the benefits of therapy. While I do not participate with insurance panels, I will give you a detailed invoice so that you may file a claim with your insurance for Out-of Network reimbursement. Frequently, after reimbursement the total cost is similar to in-network copayment.
