Therapy is a unique experience in which trust and collaboration are built and developed over time between the therapist, client, and family members. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I strive to look at the family as a system and how an individual client within the system is able to develop appropriate boundaries and healthy communication patterns. I utilize CBT, DBT and Play Therapy techniques. I am DBT trained and I am working towards certification in this area. I am also trained in Play Therapy and close to becoming a Registered Play Therapist. I work with children age 3-years to adults. I offer Play Therapy with Non-Directive, Directive and Sand Tray. I also utilize DBT Therapy techniques and have adapted some of my DBT Skills to work with children as young as nine years of age. I also utilize a variety of other therapy modalities such as Solution Focused, IFS or Narrative Therapy techniques to address the presenting issue or concerns. Families need help navigating everyday life and working together as a unit. Trauma impacts all families in various ways and navigating the waters of trauma and grief can be difficult to handle. I am able to work with individuals and families to collaborate and unite to find their path to stability within the arena of mental health.
