I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Nurse and have been working to help clients help themselves for over twenty years. I have a specialty in treating Eating Disorders and other food/weight issues and have an additional Eating Disorders Certification through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals. I also work with clients with a variety of symptoms such as fears, anxiety, depression and substance abuse, ages 14 and older. I have an elclectic approach with emphasis on cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral thrapies. I believe that clients can live a happy and fulfilling life. Issues with anxiety and fears may be the underlying problem that clients have developed coping mechanism to handle. These coping mechanisms (food, relationships, codependency, alcohol/drugs,work) are the problem symptoms that get one to seek help. Treatment is available to handle stress and anxiety and develop healthier coping techniques. My office is located near the intersection of Hamilton and Meridian in the Willow Glen area and is wheel chair accessible.
