I am Marty Burke, LPC with over twenty-five years of experience providing therapy. I come from a military family and have provided therapy for military personnel and love working with them. I also specialize in addictive disorders, embracing AA and Smart Recovery methods. I specialize in Military Issues (family business, addictive disorders, codependency, couples counseling and premarital counseling, divorce recovery, inner child issues, and adults who have not found their place in life and want to find purpose and joy in their lives. I am a very calm person, listening closely with a non-judging attitude, As a former teacher and coach I give homework and exercises to give the client ownership in our sessions. I bond easily with clients, probably because I love providing therapy and helping people become their very best and enjoy life. I ask them what they want out of life and what is getting in the way of them attaining these goals. I ask them if they are happy with how they are perceived by others and if they are satisfied with how they perceive themself. Then we begin to make plans to make the necessary changes to achieve the goals.
