About

Just as sometimes people get sick and need to visit a doctor, sometimes people need to visit a therapist. This could be due to a clinical diagnosis such as depression or anxiety, the desire to cope with past trauma, or just in response to the many and varied challenges of life. It takes courage and determination to reach out for help, and I hope that I can help. I believe we all have the ability to achieve lasting change and peace on our own, we just sometimes need help finding the way.

I hold licenses in Iowa and Texas, and have been in practice since 2014. I enjoy working with adults and children aged 4-11. Areas of specialty: Trauma, anxiety, and play therapy. I use an eclectic approach to treatment. My main goal with any issue is to help clients build insight and achieve growth.

It is a great privilege to be allowed into someone’s private experience. My approach to therapy is that the therapeutic relationship is more important than any technique or method. When two people form a strong therapeutic relationship built on mutual respect and trust in a judgment-free zone, any issue can be effectively managed.
