About

"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change" - Carl Rogers. Accepting difficult situations in life and moving towards change is a journey you don't have to face alone. I have 10+ years of experience working with adolescents and adults who struggle with a history of trauma, impulsivity, overwhelming emotions/emotional outbursts, feeling disconnected from others, poor relationships, poor sense of identity, thoughts of suicide and self-harm. These symptoms and behaviors are often a result of feeling unheard, invalidated and/or traumatic experiences.

I specialize in DBT, DBT PE and CBT. DBT helps individuals create a life worth living and reduce emotional suffering by learning and practicing skills of mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotion regulation. CBT uses identification, recognition and management of thoughts to understand their impact on our beliefs and actions.

If you're experiencing emotional suffering and hopelessness, I can help you take steps toward feeling confident in your ability to overcome life's challenges. I invite you to contact me so we can decide if we'd make a good team to start your journey of acceptance and change.
