I am a licensed therapist with more than two decades of experience providing counseling, therapy and consultation to people struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss. I help people develop confidence, identify strategies for coping and attain inner strength. My expertise is in childhood trauma and complex PTSD. My practice is founded on psychodynamic, relational and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) treatments. As an Asian woman of color and daughter of immigrant parents, I have a holistic perspective of how race, culture, gender, economic history and systematic oppression impacts mental health and wellness. Trauma is often at the root of depression, anxiety, and difficulties with adjusting to changes. My expertise has developed over time with specialized educational training and experience with survivors of trauma. My approach is non-judgemental, strongly informed by creative art forms, mindfulness strategies and a range of wellness practices I utiize myself. I would be happy to answer any questions in a 15-minute consultation without charge. I offer virtual Telehealth therapy to NY and NJ residents. If for any reason you are in need of a different kind of therapy or service, I would do my best to steer you in the direction of other options.
