About

Are you having difficulty managing intense emotional states? Are anxiety, depression, hurt or anger barriers to connecting with partners or potential partners? Do you have a harsh inner critic? Using a therapeutic style that is supportive, interactive, and understanding, I have been providing psychological treatment to individuals for 30 years. Important areas of my practice include anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.

In addition to dealing with the immediate problem or crisis that brings someone to psychotherapy, I address underlying issues and psychological conflicts, as well as difficulties with career, parenthood, separation and divorce. Together, we will find the best way to address difficult emotions and plan a course of therapy that is safe and non-threatening.

Difficult emotions are avoided for a reason; they can be painful and frightening. We need to approach them thoughtfully, to face these potent feelings without being overwhelmed and to determine whether to delve into them and/or find ways to manage these feelings. You will guide me in establishing our pace and direction.
