I work with adolescents and adults who are seeking counseling services for a variety of reasons. Many of my clients have depressive, anxious, or disordered eating symptoms. Others are in life transitions or are seeking support with something such as athletic performance. I believe counseling can benefit everyone and collaborate with clients on individual goals. Together we reflect, build upon strengths, and apply new strategies to increase fulfillment. I am happy to meet at my office, via video, or outside for a walk. I pull from a variety of theories, including psychodynamic talk therapy and cognitive behavioral strategies. Much of my training has been specific to eating disorders and I often collaborate with doctors and dietitians. I believe strongly in a healthy mind-body connection and promote acceptance of all bodies. Good counseling starts with a trusting relationship between client and counselor. I am happy to set up a complimentary 30-minute consultation in my office to determine if we would like to work together.
