About

Hi, my name is Luisa. I take a person-centered, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive approach to therapy. My goal is to enhance the agency of my clients by forming a safe and empowering helping relationship. My therapeutic approach tends to utilize humanistic, narrative, and Power-Threat-Meaning frameworks, with some mindfulness and DBT skills thrown in as needed. I take a collaborative approach to diagnosis and treatment planning because I believe that clients are experts in their own lived experiences.

I specialize in working with neurodivergent adolescents and adults, and I enjoy helping clients unpack and process the impacts of white supremacy, patriarchy, ableism, and capitalism on their mental health and wellbeing. I also have experience discussing gender, queerness, kink, and polyamory in session.

I have a Masters in Social Work from the University of Minnesota. I grew up on the East Coast, lived in the Midwest for about a decade, and recently moved to Oregon. In my free time, I like to play D&D, make my own clothes, and plead with my dog to please stop eating garbage off the sidewalk.
