I am committed to meeting you where you are. I work hard to understand and validate what it is like to be you. So, your goals for therapy are the crucial foundation for our work together. If you experience that I really do understand and validate you and your goals, then I believe you will allow me to challenge you in helpful ways when it becomes difficult to make significant changes that you want to make. I also believe that work with at least five dimensions (MIND, BODY, SOUL, SYSTEM, and STORY) in an organic and natural way can help you succeed in meeting your goals, even if other approaches have not been successful. After having an full-time private practice in New Orleans, LA since 1985, I now specialize in seeing persons with complex trauma, major life transitions, and men's issues. In the tackling of difficult life dilemmas, I also find that integrating my clients' own spirituality and their own concern for social justice issues gives deeper meaning to therapy. If you have been struggling with vexing problems for some time, I invite you to contact me. Your action of reaching out for therapy is actually a major beginning of your positive, self-chosen change. You may even find yourself implementing some concrete steps of positive change right after contacting me. If so, you and I together can build on those steps.
