Sometimes life has a way of presenting you with unwanted challenges, while you’re busy making other plans. You may realize that you can use some additional support when these challenges are causing you anxiety, stress, exhaustion, depression or other difficulties. You don’t have to face these challenges alone. My goal as a therapist is to help clients explore the issues and challenges they face by listening, supporting and accepting without judgment. I view therapy as a collaborative, sharing experience and seek to help my clients feel comfortable, hopeful, and truly understood. I believe that good counseling consists of providing a warm, safe and supportive environment to build on strengths and facilitate change. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches based on the specifics of your needs. Most frequently I use cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, solution-focused, relaxation training and mindfulness techniques. I take a holistic approach and strive to assist clients in making changes in all aspects of their lives, where they are feeling stuck or wanting to make improvements, both big and small.
