I love working with professionals, students, and academics who, despite their intellectual prowess, are encountering difficulties in emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships, and existential issues. Because of my IT background, I especially like working with gamers, programmers, and introverts. Whether it is setting up a personal SLA for how you want to interact in relationships, applying RPG and other gaming paradigms to life, or having familiarity with life in the corporate world, we can quickly develop a shared understanding and language that reflects your world. I mostly use an EFT model with couples and ACT in individual therapy. I focus on the role of thoughts and emotions and how they relate to our deepest needs and values. I love to provide information and techniques but ultimately you are the expert on who you want to be. Acceptance, self determination, meaning, and authenticity are common themes I work with. I am pragmatic and just a bit irreverent, but full of warmth, laughter, and encouragement. I have a relaxed and accepting style.
