About

Different life stages and transitions come with their own unique challenges. Change is a part of life and how we react and meet these changes has a direct impact on our overall well being. Past experiences also influence our reactions. These challenges may make us feel overwhelmed or as if we may be “stuck". Sometimes assistance is needed in helping identify these feelings and stressors so that steps towards healthy responses and reactions can occur. My goal for providing counseling is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where clients can look at both short term and long standing issues and address how to best manage them.

Through an integrative approach my hope is to work with clients in identifying their challenges and their strengths and then use these strengths to develop a plan to promote the life changes they seek while lessening their emotional distress. I also offer parent coaching on the topics of major life transitions, mental health and behavioral issues.

After taking a period of time off to raise my family I have decided to return to clinical work. My past experience was as a clinical social worker at Boston Children’s Hospital and at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. I have also worked as a school social worker. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions by email or leave a message by phone.
