Is your child anxious, scared, lonely or suffering from a chronic medical condition? Are you an overwhelmed parent? If so, please consider visiting me at Genesis Counseling and Psychological Services. Thinking about counseling can create uncertainty. It's a big step. You may have a lot of questions. I can't promise you won't be nervous when you visit for the first time, but I can promise to answer all your questions and provide a safe, non-judgemental place to grow together. Kids with chronic medical conditions often feel scared, sad or angry. Sometimes they act out, feel isolated and alone, or have been mistreated. First, I provide kids a safe place and help them feel understood. They then learn to process their emotions and use positive coping skills on their own! I know parenting can be overwhelming. I can help you recognize your strengths, discover patterns that could be more encouraging, and teach you some new skills to help handle the situations you face. I also help individuals coping with grief, anxiety, trauma and those who want a better relationship.
