It’s not easy to find the right therapist and the right connection. My ability to connect, and build trust and rapport, is central to my practice. You may be struggling with chronic illness, anxiety, a life transition, caregiver stress, depression, relationship conflict, or the day to day demands of keeping it all together. We can figure out how to make it better and not so overwhelming. I’ve been graced with the opportunity to work with hospice patients and families, those with chronic illness, and individuals with life impacting mental health and/or life stage issues. I am an active listener, and I ask for feedback. M.S. degrees in Communication and SW helped me develop an aptitude for interpersonal communication and enhanced my critical thinking. Interpersonal interaction is the foundation of relationship dynamics. Sounds simple, but somehow, life can make it complicated! Effective communication facilitates understanding and productive outcomes. If you’re not quite sure how to start or feel like you wouldn’t know what to say, I can help you get there. We’ll work together to gain understanding of the issue and work toward your goals. Together we'll develop strategies to help you better manage the challenges and stressors that cause you distress. I’m genuinely interested in what you have to say!
