Therapists » Licensed Professional Counselor
I spent the first part of my career in non-profit and private practice settings in a rural area. These experiences provided a wide range of clinical growth and led to specializations in complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. I quickly build rapport with clients and am particularly passionate about working with those who are apprehensive about the therapeutic process. In addition, I have an extensive background working with the LGBTQ+ community, from individual and group counseling to training clinicians in LGBTQ+ inclusivity. I hold a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Stephen F. Austin State University. I use a holistic, evidenced-based combination of CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness-based techniques to individualize treatment and collaborate with clients of all ages and identities. Outside the office, you’ll find me spending time with my dog, hiking, or trying another Charlotte restaurant. I also continue to advocate for mental health awareness among the communities I've grown close to through my work.
