My name is Linda Wiskerchen. I am a licensed clinical social worker and registered play therapist supervisor with 20+ years experience and passion working in the mental health field. I specialize in the treatment of families and young children who are struggling at home, in school, and in the community, with individual and family counseling. I can help: strengthen children's social skills and appropriate play skills, promote use of self-control strategies such as effective problem solving steps, increase emotional awareness by labeling and recognizing feelings. I will also: increase self-esteem, reduce anxiety and conduct problems such as noncompliance, bullying, stealing and lying. I act on the belief that a child is the most precious of all human beings, and the ability to withstand the emotional and social challenges as a teenager, rests upon a caring relationship between parent and child. I collaborate with parents to bring about positive behavior changes.
