About

I bring decades of professional and lived experience to my practice. It makes a difference in a therapist's work. I listen compassionately with warmth. You CAN be less sad or anxious. You CAN look forward to getting out of bed in the morning. Loving and caring for someone with mental illness or dementia takes a large toll on the entire family system. Is this or other challenges making life difficult? Are your relationships upsetting you? Aging and retirement? Do you have family conflict? Self-doubt or indecisiveness? I can provide therapy, short term consultation, resources and/or on going support to these families.

My therapeutic style is a melding of psychodynamic psychotherapy, problem solving, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and understanding the impact of your unique childhood experiences on the present. Having completed training in couples and family therapy I view relationships in terms of interconnections, expectations and disappointments.

I have been successful in helping people to improve the quality of their lives for 30 years. Client feedback reports that I am welcoming, calm, caring and open to going wherever your work needs to go. Compassion for yourself, curiosity and wanting to move forward is a good starting place to begin therapy. I look forward to getting your call or email.
