I am a NYS State Certified School Psychologist, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Board Certified Counselor (NBCC). Having worked in the mental health field for over 35 years and in the school counseling field for 16 years, I work especially with children and adolescents providing individual, family and group counseling. I am a commissioned minister of pastoral care-- licensed by the National Christian Conservative Church (NCCC). I am also a doctoral candidate in Christian Counseling with the National Christian Counselor's Association (NCCA). I am a NCCA Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor(LCPC) and Certified Temperament Counselor (CTC). My areas of specialization include the following areas: child and adolescent issues, anxiety, depression, grief recovery, behavioral modification, parenting, single parenting, crisis intervention, Christian counseling, dialectical and cognitive behavior therapy, behavioral management, individual, group and family counseling; child, teens, adults, family. My focus as a counselor is to provide children/teens ongoing social skill development in the areas of: communication, coping strategies, friendship skills and decision making. I work well with students with ADHD, Autism and depression/anxiety. I specialize in dialectical and behavior therapy and cognitive therapy.
