About

I offer a compassionate approach to psychotherapy that works through the body to bring unconscious information (often held as tensions, chronic illness, nervous system disorders, anxiety, depression, nightmares, low self-esteem and inabilities to function at full capacity)into conscious awareness, facilitating deep and lasting changes. Our childhood wounds and traumas become blocks to the manifestation of our purpose/gifts. I honor the inherent wisdom of my clients and help them find authentic expression of their gifts. My strengths are my ability to use my intuition to help clients "put the pieces together," and my own personal experience with resolving trauma. View 4 Photos

Grounded in the Hakomi method, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and IFS, my practice emphasizes mindfulness, non-violence, and inherent wholeness of the client. I am also a certified EMDR therapist. My approach encourages resolution at deeper levels than traditional talk therapies by working experientially through somatic (body-centered) awareness.

I have an undergraduate education in biochemistry. I worked as a research scientist for 16 years, giving me a strong foundation for understanding and applying current neuroscience in my work with clients. I also have a strong background in childhood development. I am a certified yoga teacher, and bring this experience into my therapy practice.
