Dr. Abello is a Harvard-trained, recognized expert in psychological diagnosis and treatment. She strives for excellence through superior treatment, education, and research. She provides a safe and nurturing environment for individuals, couples and their families, to resolve interpersonal, career, and stress-of-life problems. She draws on psychodynamic training and cognitive-behavioral therapy to help people advance in their personal and career paths. At times, Dr. Abello may challenge negative or distorted thinking, other times she may guide you to increase awareness and mindfulness. With couples, her focus is on dysfunctional communication and restoring respect and trust in the relationship. Dr.Abello has over 25 years experience in treatment and diagnosis. After graduating from NSU, she completed a two-year internship at a Harvard Medical School hospital in Boston.
