Anxiety, past emotional/verbal abuse, grief, religious trauma, women's issues, worry, discouragement and life transitions/uncertainty are all areas I love working with! I also specialize in treating young adults! With 14 years experience as a full time professional counselor, and an approach that is relaxed, genuine, and honest, I'm ready for you. My focus as a therapist is for you to feel emotionally safe, valued, and encouraged. Although Christianity is the belief system I use, I respect any beliefs a client has, and will never give you the "just pray more" response. You CAN find healing, and this is a safe place to start! View 5 Photos Trauma comes in many different forms, and just because you're not "starving on the street" doesn't mean your pain and trauma isn't just as real and devastating. Emotional loneliness, manipulation, verbal abuse- all of these ARE traumatic and CAN be healed. You're not alone. Give therapy a chance. I'm just an email away. Incorporating a Christian belief system is an area of expertise for me, but this is NEVER to increase fear, guilt, or shame! That isn't God's nature. I won't give you cliche (and hurtful!) church answers that only make pain worse. I hope to encourage my clients through a place of hope for their future, no matter their past pain.
