About

“Accepting telehealth clients”. I am a neurodivergent, LGBTQ+ ally who loves animals. I am also a licensed mental health counselor who has been practicing for the past 8 years. My training in in-home therapy has helped me develop a trauma informed, person centered approach. I approach therapy by meeting each unique client where they are at. I am able to facilitate a process to help them get closer to their preferred ways of being. I’ve worked with clients with a range of mental health concerns including, trauma, depression, relationship difficulties, anxiety and self-esteem.

I am also a Certified Animal Assisted Therapy Professional. My hope is to incorporate AAP into my work in the future. AAP (Animal Assisted Psychotherapy) is a specific therapy approach that incorporates the use of an animal in goal directed treatment sessions.

AAP is used in conjunction with traditional talk therapy and can be used with various psychological, emotional, developmental, cognitive, motivational or physical concerns. The simple act of petting animals releases an automatic relaxation response. My dog Zalea along with my 2 cats, may occasionally join session through telehealth.
