I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who specializes in working with the military community, including those in active service, their families, and veterans. I help people balance the competing demands of military service while maintaining successful relationships and raising a family. I provide a confidential space for service members to manage triggering events and emotions, such as anger, anxiety, depression, or grief, to help relieve pressure on themselves and their families. I began my private practice in Northern Virginia and have been in practice for over 20 years. View 5 Photos Depending on the challenge, I use approaches that range from practical, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral methods to deeper explorations of emotions, historical patterns, and triggers. Each approach has a similar goal: greater happiness, a sense of empowerment, and awareness of possibilities. I have begun training with MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) to become certified in MDMA-assisted therapy, an FDA-designated breakthrough therapy for treating PTSD. I look forward to using this healing modality with veterans in the future.
