Therapists » Licensed Professional Counselor
People come to counseling because they want something to be different in their lives. They may want to change their personal or family situation, solve a particular problem, or simply bring a healthier balance to their lives. The counseling process can be fun and exciting. It can also, at times, be very challenging. However, the goal will always be to bring about some positive change. I operate from a cognitive behavioral lens while pulling from existential and solution-focused theories. What this means is that I believe in working with my client(s) to challenge faulty thoughts or perceptions and looking for solutions to these issues. In addition, I believe that people are motivated to change based on the meaning they give their life. Entering therapy is a serious, sometimes tough, decision. Regardless of how you have come to counseling, I am glad you contacted me to help you with making solid change matter. I believe therapy is a mutual effort process that works better with respect, responsibility, and consideration between the client and the clinician.
