About

Does life seem difficult or challenging? Lets focus on how you can begin to feel better about yourself or your situation. People walk into the office for many different reasons and there are various effective approaches to the issues you struggle with in life. The type of approach we would use depends on your personality and comfort level. We will be discussing which coping skills fit your situation and needs the best. Therapy has been proven to create positive, life-changing effects. It can help you change the direction your life is going in. Choosing to engage in psychotherapy is admirable.

My extensive training is in trauma and addiction but I am not limited to these issues listed. I see people who have experienced physical/sexual abuse, and/or neglect in their early childhood or adolescent years. I work with PTSD, dissociative identity, body image issues, eating disorders, and self-harming behaviors.

Emotions are strongly connected to our memories. Sometimes when we begin to understand why we feel a certain way it instantly can make us feel better. My clients keep one foot in the present and one foot exploring the past without dwelling on it. I see individuals, couples, and families.
