Laura's counseling style is tailored to each client's individual place of need. Laura believes the therapeutic alliance promotes healing by creating a safe relational environment of trust, validation, collaboration, compassion, empathy, and encouragement. Laura works with high school adolescents, college students, and adults, providing individual, couples, and family counseling. She treats issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, women's health, chronic illness/injury, breast cancer support, academic & career challenges, and navigating relationship issues. Laura has background as an adjunct instructor in higher education, mental wellness, child advocacy, and chronic illness & injury. She has practiced therapy as a college counselor, in an agency setting, and in private practice. As a counselor, Laura has had the privilege of working with many cultural populations, helping students and adults with a variety of challenges. Laura has an MA in Counseling and a bachelor's degree in Speech Communications. Her current affiliations include the American Counseling Association, NBCC Certification, and MO-Acts TF-CBT Certification.
