Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I believe therapy is a collaborative relationship that can lead to finding new and positive ways of relating to people and situations in your life. In therapy, we look at the distinctive ways in which you relate to me and others, whether or not you are aware of them, and then we analyze them so you can consciously begin to do something different. I want to make psychotherapy affordable, so I accept clients on a sliding scale basis, from $100 to $150. I would be happy to hear from you. We decide on how we might approach your specific goal, which can be dealt with in a few sessions; other times the problem has more complicated dynamics, and needs to be addressed over a longer period of time. In either case, therapy should help you gain a better understanding of yourself. In addition to my work in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, I hold a master of arts in international development and have worked in west Africa. I have also conducted research and written on adherence to medical advice in southern Africa.
