With over 15 years of experience in law enforcement/mental health, I bring a unique perspective to my practice. I have a Master's degree in Social Work and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Additionally, I hold a Graduate Certificate in Crisis Response and Behavioral Health. I understand the challenges faced by those in demanding professions, from administrative issues and critical incidents, to family stress, injuries, depression, and anxiety. I am a validating and direct professional, focused on solutions, and I encourage clients to dig deep and embrace vulnerability, even when it's challenging. I believe in the power of humor and relatability, especially when working with first responders. I have worked in military prison, a supermax correctional facility, a major hospital as an Emergency Department social worker, a police officer (medical retirement/line of duty injury), a co-responding clinician, and a graduate school professor. Recognizing your current position in your mental health journey and envisioning where you wish to go is essential. You don't have to navigate this path alone. Engaging with a culturally competent clinician ensures you feel heard, understood, and validated. Since everyone has their own unique goals, my role is to support you in achieving yours. I am here to assist when you are ready to begin.
