I work with adults and teens ages 12 as they navigate change, communication struggles, and painful experiences. I strive to see everyone through the lens of their strengths. My goal is to help clients experiencing anxiety, depression, loss and grief, effects of trauma, or suicidal thoughts, achieve stability and thrive through use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. I rely heavily on mindfulness-based practices to increase emotional awareness that is needed before change. Using a client-centered approach I combine CBT, DBT, and IFS to manage symptoms, I teach mindfulness practices to build awareness of symptoms and create the space for change. My past work experience includes working with aging persons, parents, victims of abuse, and those in crisis. I have worked with a variety of resilient people from many backgrounds. I maintain positive regard for you and avoid judgement and shame as we progress to meet your mental health goals.
