I believe that the most effective way to heal is in relationship. That is why my main focus is on creating a safe and non-judgmental environment for my clients to explore what it is like to take risks and be vulnerable in the presence of another. I know that I can only take my clients as far as I have gone myself, and that is why I continue to actively participate in my own personal therapy, healing, and addiction recovery work. I believe that how your pain was handled can be more traumatizing than the actual event itself. Your environment significantly influences your emotional, physical, social, and spiritual well-being. I also understand that everyone copes, perceives, and interprets traumatic experiences differently. There are really good reasons for why you cope in the way that you do and we can work together to help you to explore this more deeply. Your experiences are unique to the specific pain that you have faced and to the surrounding details before, during, and after traumatic and stressful events. RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE.
