I have worked over 11 years with clients in crisis across two different counties here in Vermont. Many of whom have struggled with anxiety, depression, life transitions, goal setting, loss, family dynamics, self improvement, self-care, aging, and more. We worked together finding, discussing, and practicing coping skills, setting goals, setting boundaries, improving awareness, and working towards improving their quality of life. My theoretical approach is client-centered, strength-based, goal oriented, and based on the needs of each client individually. I utilize CBT, grounding, and other techniques based on client needs. Because I believe the bulk of the work happens beyond the clinical setting, I often encourage mini-homework’s in between each session. Things can come up in life that can make a person feel overwhelmed, uncertain, and cause conflicting feelings, thoughts, and emotions. We can work together to help process and make sense of what is happening on an individual level. If this seems like we might be a good fit, feel free to reach out. You are not alone!
