About

All humans have strengths and develop strategies for coping with life's unique challenges and stressors. Sometimes the strategies we come up with are helpful and sometimes they do more to interfere with life than help. If you believe you or your child are experiencing difficulties coping with or adjusting to life's stressors that are interfering with school or work, peer and family relationships, or overall quality of life, then therapy may be a helpful next step.

I practice from a behavioral and cognitive behavioral orientation. This means that I do not believe that mental health diagnoses are inherent to who we are. I believe we are all capable of learning new skills and new ways of approaching our relationships and our stressors so that we can behave and communicate more effectively.

I combine the use of evidence-based treatments with a warm and person-centered approach to support progress toward goals. I believe that all of us can benefit from therapy to increase self-awareness and develop skills to deal with unhelpful ways of thinking and acting in order to reach our full potential.
