About

You deserve to feel balanced and strong. You deserve a meaningful and full life. Stress, anxiety and trauma can manifest in our bodies in a variety of ways which can impact our ability to experience happiness and clarity. I have had the joy of working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, geriatric, insurance, crisis/first responder and military populations for 17 years. I integrate the perspective of resiliency and take a strength-based approach to inspire change. My genuine passion is working with military service members and their families as well as law enforcement and first responder populations.

My specialization is in treating individuals who suffer from symptoms of trauma. Past counseling positions with Naval Base San Diego, Fleet & Family Support Center and the Wounded Warrior detachment at Naval Medical Center Balboa have led me to study and appreciate working with persons that have a history of trauma, PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury.

The opportunity to deploy with various commands as part of the Navy’s Return and Reunion Program and work closely with the San Diego Police Department as a Psychiatric Emergency Response Clinician, have furthered my interest and investment in serving these populations. I use a combination of modalities including body based therapy and talk therapy.
