I believe that attending to inner experience in the presence of a caring, well-trained, and interested therapist can lead to tangible life improvements. I'd like to work with you to improve your mood, outlook, and relationships. Therapy offers a rich and warm environment to get to know yourself and what it is you would most deeply like to have in your life. Equally importantly, therapy can then help you build the tools and resources (both internal and external) to transform your life. Though my orientation and disposition is grounded in the present, attending to earlier experiences often yields important insights as well. My approach integrates psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies. I work collaboratively with clients and ensure that their own goals and desires are always central to our work. I work primarily with adults ranging in age from 18 to 80 years of age. My specialties include life transitions: commitment, marriage, divorce, career, college, illness, disability, family, and parenting concerns. I believe we are capable of positively changing ourselves and our lives. I have seen it happen again and again.
