Kristen earned her MS.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Purdue University. Kristen specializes in Cognitive Behavioral-based and Internal Family System approaches. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is an action-oriented form of psychosocial therapy that assumes that maladaptive, or faulty, thinking patterns cause maladaptive behavior and negative emotions. Kristen has experience working with adolescents and adults in the treatment of anxiety and depression, addiction, trauma, grief, stress management, adjusting to parenting roles, as well as postpartum depression, and insomnia.
