Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I am continually amazed at the ability of the human spirit to heal. A traumatic event or the build-up of everyday living can feel overwhelming and you may become disconnected from the person you used to be. You sometimes find yourself coping with life in ways you never would have expected. Recognizing that your coping skills are no longer able to manage your stress is the first step. My clients work to rediscover, and often discover, the person they were meant to be. My joy comes from witnessing my clients move from being stuck to living fully. Your treatment belongs to you. I will move at your pace as you are the expert of your life. I am certified in several trauma treatment modalities that focus on healing trauma in the the body. Oftentimes we "know" our truth while our body negates it with a "yeah, but...." and we default to that internal critic. The goal of therapy is to challenge that critic. It is my belief that people come into therapy when they are living a life that is not congruent with their authentic self. You are worthy of living your life, not having it be lived for you!
