Kimberly has experience in working with children, adolescents, families, and couples. She has experience in working with youth in the foster care system, adoptions, traumatized youth, youth with severe behavioral concerns, youth who are experiencing mild to severe emotional distress, as well as youth in the LGBTQ+ population who are transitioning, discovering themselves and their sexuality, and experiencing societal and relationship trauma due to their sexual orientation. Kimberly is an Adoption Competency Certified therapist and has worked with families involved in adopting children from every aspect. Kimberly is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Commercially Sexually Exploited Children. Kimberly's focus and specialties include: Depression, Anxiety, Self-Esteem, Anger Management, LGBTQ+ Youth, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Adoption/Foster Care, Kids involved in the Department of Juvenile Justice, Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Children/Youth with Sexually Reactive Behaviors, Family therapy, and Communication Skills Kimberly likes to individualize all aspects of counseling and treatment to be able to work specifically with whatever needs you present.
