I see clients between the ages of 4 and 104 on a variety of issues. Whether you are looking to process day to day stressors, or heal from past wounds, I work with my clients to create a safe, caring atmosphere. I place a strong emphasis on building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship. Areas of experience and interest include working with teachers and those in education, divorce recovery, career and vocation exploration, children with ADHD or other behavioral struggles, depression, anxiety, PTSD, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts/behaviors. This list is not exclusive, so please reach out with questions. In addition to my experience as a counselor, I also worked for a year as a crisis interventionist, and completed my internship working exclusively with children and families with financial or special legal needs. Additionally, I worked as a middle school teacher in the public school system for 6 years before becoming a therapist. I utilize a client-centered approach, working collaboratively with my clients to identify their goals and develop a customized treatment plan. I choose to see fewer clients than may be typical so I can offer more flexible schedules and short notice availability. I accept BCBS, United Health Care, UMR, and Aetna insurances, as well as self-pay.
