Hey! My name is Khyra. I am a Black heterosexual Bermudian woman. My background and lived experiences have shaped my understanding and appreciation for the complexities of diverse identities, making me a great fit for clients who want to further explore their cultural and social identities/histories. As an international doctoral student, I have a unique insight into the experiences of immigrants, which may be of particular interest to clients adjusting to similar life transitions. I have a foundation in child, adolescent, and family mental health. I specialize in working with people from marginalized communities (e.g., immigrants and LGBTQIA+). I recognize that we all deserve a safe and supportive space to grow and that that looks different for everybody. It's my hope that I can create that space with you. As Dale Partridge once said, "You were born with the ability to change someone's life—don't ever waste it." I take that to heart in my work and strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those I serve. I encourage you to take the first step and reach out schedule an intake with me today. I look forward to joining you on your journey!
