About

I enjoy working with adults, teenagers, and older children who need someone to believe their story and help them overcome the hardships and traumas that have occurred in their lives. Mostly, I love to help people have healthier relationships with themselves and others, and I use interventions like processing past relational hurt and building interpersonal skills such as healthy boundaries, active listening, effective communication, and empathy skills to do so. I also work with people dealing with other difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, grief, and complex trauma.

I will tailor therapy to you, your personality, strengths and weaknesses, and your goals. I most often pull techniques, principles, and interventions from various forms of therapy models. I integrate theology, spirituality, and psychology into practice if a client would like, and I am EMDR trained and use other trauma-informed approaches as well.

Choosing to come to counseling is one of the bravest decisions that you will ever make. I know it can feel scary to meet and open up to a stranger, and it is my goal to ensure your emotional safety so that opening up to someone does not feel so scary anymore.
