NOT TAKING NEW CLIENTS RIGHT NOW. Self-compassion is where healing begins. How we treat ourselves and what we say to ourselves is vital to healing the things that aren’t working in our lives. My goal, as a therapist, is to be your guide as you remove blocks and recognize your own strengths. I integrate Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches, which help people to grasp their potential and increase their own power. Mindfulness gives us the space to look at things that might be interfering with our ability to see our strengths and CBT allows us to use those insights to change the way we talk to ourselves. I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and pledged supporter of Health at Every Size (HAES) I base my body image and disordered eating work on these ideals. I do not focus on weight loss. I help people of all sizes gain health and strength by helping them to take care of themselves in a holistic, compassionate, and self-affirming way. My interest in mindfulness has evolved through Buddhist practice, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training, and training with and implementing Tara Brach’s practices. I would be honored to join you in your pursuit of health and wellness in a realistic and self-compassionate way that fits your needs, desires, and energy level.
