I have always been aware of my undeniable passion for individual counseling, which is why I began my private practice in 2016. I want to offer people a way to live their lives effectively in the present. What does that mean? It means making wise decisions that help us feel a sense of congruence about the life we are living. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider. I have been working in mental health and substance abuse for the past 20 years. Over the years I have worked in vocational programs, drug and violence prevention programs, intensive outpatient treatment, and residential treatment. I understand that entering into counseling stimulates a variety of thoughts and emotions. We question how long we will have to go, how much it will cost us, whether I will have to talk about things that I don’t want to talk about, and the fear of…what if nothing changes? I would be glad to communicate with you about these questions.
