Dealing with the aftermath of trauma and the struggles of mental health can feel heavy. It may feel as though you are completely alone in dealing with the difficulties in your life, but it does not have to feel this way. I work with teenagers and adults who all too often feel alone and hopeless and may have adopted unhealthy ways of coping through substance use or other self-destructive behaviors as a result. I use a strengths-based, person centered, humanistic approach and have been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Taking the first step to address your trauma and mental health is scary, but I can help. I have been working in the field of social work for over 20 years, with most of my experience being in juvenile justice and child welfare. I can assist people who are struggling with extremely difficult situations while they are involved with these systems. I am accepting clients at Gerard, Coslow & Tielker-Sharpe Associates. I can accommodate both in person and virtual sessions depending on your individual needs. Most commercial insurance plans and Medicaid are accepted.
