About

I strive to bring a sense of acceptance, compassion, insight, sometimes humor as well as challenge to the therapeutic relationship. I see the aim of therapy to explore and address those issues that block you from reaching your goals and experiencing a more satisfying and productive life. Whether you are facing challenges in your career, relationships, or in your emotional well-being, we can address specific situations that you are facing today, as well as long-standing patterns or history of painful experiences. I offer a free phone consultation to help you find the right therapist.

I have worked with individuals, couples, and families for over 20 years to address a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, identity questions, career concerns, as well as conflict and dissatisfaction in relationships. I approach therapy from a relational psychodynamic approach and also incorporate mindfulness, and relaxation/visualization techniques.

In addition to my clinical practice, I teach in the Advanced Psychotherapy Program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis and supervise advance graduate students as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Clinical Psychology at George Washington University.
