About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience working with a diverse spectrum of individuals. As a 2nd generation Japanese immigrant, I understand how the unique identities that we have shape our experiences. In my time within education, I understood the stresses of the educator, parent and the student, and the uncertainties that families must grapple with. My experience in corporate EAP has given me the perspective of how demanding the business culture can be. Being a former Division I athlete has taught me a lot about resilience, discipline, and managing pressure - lessons I bring into my counseling practice.

My counseling approach is rooted in trauma-informed and healing-centered practices, always prioritizing the client's unique experiences and needs. I utilize a wide range of clinical approaches including CBT, solution-focused, humanitarian, strength-based, DBT, ACT, etc. I aim to help you build the tools you need to navigate life’s ups and downs.

I am fluent in both English and Japanese. I value genuine experiences so that I can share an authentic connection to my clients. I strive to help you find ways to heal, grow, and thrive. It is my belief that the most important step that an individual can take is the next one. I am here to help you on that challenging, life-long voyage.
