Therapists » Licensed Professional Counselor
There are two major factors with making therapy beneficial - one is the client, and finding a therapist is a big step! The second is the therapeutic relationship, which is strengthened over time. I think therapy works best if someone is willing to allow me to join them in processing what's happening in their life, emotions, and stressors. By allowing me to sit with them, clients are working on strengthening that therapeutic relationship which makes therapy effective. I appreciate openness to different ideas and strategies, and clients can have short- or long-term needs. I am a PA and NJ licensed counselor, with experience working with folks with addictions and substance abuse issues,a s well as mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, and Bipolar disorder. I believe in an eclectic, client-centered approach, which means finding strategies and interventions that work for you specifically. Seeking a therapist is courageous, and often the first step to making changes. I applaud you for beginning that process, and I'm honored to be even considered as a potential option. I look forward to hearing from you, so we can figure out if I am the right fit for you, and how I can best help you.
